Summary: seeing the Statue of Liberty in person though security was about the same as at airports We could only get as high as the top of the pedestal but it afforded some great views of Manhattan Ellis Island with Jersey City in the background and some of the boat traffic with the Staten Island Bridge in the background Even saw one of those famous NY Taxis on
